With the objective of keeping the bloodshed on the roads to the minimum, the Policía de Tránsito (Traffic Police) have intensified their presence on heavy traffic routes like the San José – Caldera (Ruta 27) and the San José – Limón (Ruta 32).
Some 750 traffic officials – three quarters of the entire force – will be working around the clock during this weekend.

Drunk driving, careless driving and speeding are top priority.
Autopistas del Sol annnounced that on Saturday and Sunday the Ruta 27 will between Posón and Cuidad Colón, be completely one way into San José from 2pm to 7pm. The “carril reversible” has been used successfully during weekends for the past several months.
