This accident between the commuter train and a bus occurred this morning at the Pirro crossing, in Heredia. The Cuerpo de Bomberos (Costa Rica’s fire deparment), using a drone, gives us a bird’s eye view.

Fortunately no one was seriously injured in the accident, though 11 people were taken to the San Vicente de Paúl hospital in Heredia. for evaluation.

The train was San José bound after leaving Heredia centre a few minutes earlier.  The bus was also headed for San José, from Heredia.
