China Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit (China LAC, San José, Costa Rica 26 Nov – 27 Nov 2013
The China Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit (China LAC), the most important business meeting between Latin America and China, seeking to promote and strengthen trade, commerce and investment opportunities that have been arisen between China and Latin America in recent years, will be held in Costa Rica this year.
The forum is held every year. Each year its venue alternates between the two regions.
This year, 2013, Costa Rica will host the VII China Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit in its capital city San José. The summit is organized by the Foreign Trade Ministry of Costa Rica, the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) and the Costa Rica Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE), together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The summit is expected to have more than 500 participants including senior representatives from the government, business and academic sectors as well as leaders from international organizations and key decision makers.
The participation in this annual Summit is a valuable opportunity to reinforce and spread trade ties through business contacts/ relationships, exchange experiences and analysis of issues regarding trade and investment between the two regions involved. The summit will be an ideal exhibition venue to showcase both countries and the market positions of the China and Latin American regions.
