Former President Laura Chinchilla is all set for today’s “romeria”, the annual pilgrimage to Cartago.

chinchilla-romeria-gearOn her Facebook page, Doña Laura published a photo of her readiness: tennis shoes, a cap, comfortable clothing,rain gear, a bottle of water, a banana, something in a blue bottle and rosary beads.

In her own works, she will as she has done in other occasions, join the hundreds of thousands of people from all corners of the county coming together in a passinate outpouring of the faith and joy to visit theVirgen de los Angeles.

“Everyone has their own motives for the walk, but all share a sense of harmony and brotherhood that radiates the example of infinite love for Marís,” writes the former President.

This year, in difference to the last four, she will be able to enjoy the romería as mere citizen and not as a leader of the nation,
