COSTA RICA NEWS – The Constitutional Court (Sala IV) ahs suspended the public hearing convened by the Superdependencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL) to discuss the implementation of a pay per downloand for postpay mobile internet service.
The press office of the Court reported its decision Friday on the hearing scheduled for Tuesday, July 1 at 5:15pm, saying it had received three appeals (recursos amparo) against the proposed changes in the tarriff.

The Court explained that the Sutel had not provided complete and quality information to enable the full participation of users in the public hearing.
The SUTEL announced last week that it was proposing that users of postpaid (subscription) mobile internet service be charged based on the amount of their download in contrast to the current flat fee based on connection speed.
