QCOSTARICA – Opa! officially began operating in Costa Rica with the opening of its first coffee shop in Los Yoses, on the east side of San José, offering healthy food alternatives with a menu based on Polish origin and ingredients 100% Costa Rican, according to Patryk Jara Krasinski, chef and partner-founder of the franchise.
“We are sure it will be very well received, especially since the Costa Rican consumer is demanding in products they consume and is in constant search of good quality and new flavors,” said Jara.
“Many of the Opa! recipes I inherited from my family, they taught me in the tradition of good eating. One of the best ways in Poland to demonstrate friendship, affection and respect is through food,” said Jara.
Opa! café is located in the Sigma Business Center in Los Yoses, 300 meters north of the Grupo Q. Hours are from Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
Plans are to open a second location this year, located in the Oficentro El Cafetal, in Belén de Heredia.
Last week the Colombia’s Juan Valdez announced it would be opening ten stores in Costa Rica this year, the first to be located in La Sabana. OK Coffee, also from Colombia, announced it will open four stores.
Already competing in the local market are the chain of coffee shops by Grupo Britt, Starbucks, Café Arte and Spoon,
