Rodrigo Bolaños, president of the Banco Cental, warned last week that there would be an appreciation in the exchange rate this year. The main reason, he stressed is the decrease of economic stimulus by the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Yesterday, at the Monex US$17.6 million dollars was traded in 262 transactions.
