(QCOSTARICA SPORTS) Costa Rica will meet Brazil in a friendly to be played in New Jersey (USA) on September 15. The game, announced Tuesday, is on a FIFA international date.

Both teams are preparing for their first games this fall in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. Brazil also plays the United States in a friendly on Sept. 8 at Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Brazil and Costa Rica last met in 2011 when the Selecao (Brazil’s National Team) won 1-0 in San Jose.

The friendlies provide the teams with a chance to fine-tune their preparations for 2018 World Cup qualifying.
