Shoppers and employees of Lincoln Plaza in Moravia lived moments of uncertainty when police surrounded the mall, and began a search of five delinquents who thought they could escape capture, hiding out in the crowded shopping centre.
According to police, the four had held up a Casa Blanca store close to the Moravia mall.

The mall was closed off, trapping customers inside while the the Unidad de Choque (SWAT team) searched the mall and were able to detain the four.
The press office of the Ministerio de Segurida Publica, said that at no time was anyone taken hostage and no one was injured during the police operation.
