COSTA RICA BUSINESS NEWS – Costa Rica’s state telecom, the Instituto Costarricense Electricidad (ICE) is interested in investing in Honduran telecommunications company Hondutel, La Tribuna reports, citing Hondutel CEO Jesus Mejia.
The executive said that a delegation of ICE executives will arrive to Honduras in the coming days to analyze the possibility to sign a strategic partnership.
In April, ICE announced that the firm was expecting to start selling telecoms services in Nicaragua in the coming months, through a partnership with Enatrel.
At that time, ICE CEO Teofilo de la Torre said that ICE was exploring other business possibilities in Central America.
