TODAY NICARAGUA – On 14 January 2015 the Nicaraguan Association of Tobacco will be organizing a festival in Estelí to promote cigars manufactured in the country and attract tasters from America and Europe.
The IV International Tobacco Festival called Puro Sabor Nicaragua 2015 expects the participation of 150 cigar connoisseurs from around the world.
Elnuevodiario.com.ni reports that “… Attendees will receive a selection of 36 different tobaccos, ie three different brands from a total of 12 factories specializing in tobacco.”
Sergio Torres, marketing manager at the company Plasencia Cigars, added “… What we hope is that people will enjoy and get to know well cigars from Nicaragua.” This important sector “… generated $227 million in exports this year and invests about $50 million a year.”
