QTRAVEL – The Dallas-based international luxury hotel and resort company, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, will open a location in Costa Rica in 2019, the Rosewood Papagayo.

Located on the northwest coast of Costa Rica,  in the province fo Guanacaste, just 20 minutes’ drive from the Liberia (LIR) international airport, the resort will be nestled into the hillside on the Pacific Ocean and offer guests panoramic views over both the surrounding jungle canopy and the Gulf of Papagayo.

Situated within a forested setting, the resort will offer 130 guest rooms and suites in addition to 50 residences.  According to the Rosewood website, the accommodations are designed to make the most of the natural surroundings, with features such as open-air living rooms, large terraces and plunge pools.   The suites will include seven two-storey tree houses whose striking, contemporary design will bring a sense of delight and romance.

The resort will use indigenous materials and locally inspired artwork throughout the property, and will include the brand’s signature Sense, A Rosewood Spa, as well as two swimming pools and a fitness centre.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, founded in 1979 by Caroline Rose Hunt, the daughter of oil tycoon H. L. Hunt, operates properties in seven countries.
