Globalvia and traffic police expect heavy traffic conditions on Friday on the Ruta 27 around Multiplaza.

COSTA RICA NEWSS – To avoid traffic congestion on Ruta 27, Globalvia announced an exclusive lane for traffic into the Multiplaza de Escazú for shoppers on Black Friday.

The right lane on the San José – Escazú will be strictly for traffic headed to the mall. Globalvia says it will have dividers to keep the lane for exclusive use.

The measure is at the request of Grupo Roble (owners of the Multiplaza shopping centre) and is being coordinated with the Policia de Tránsito (traffic police).

Due to the increased volume of shoppers, the Fuerza Pública (police) and Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) – judicial police will have increased presence in the area.

Although Black Friday is an American holiday, it has been embraced by consumers in Costa Rica.
