COSTA RICA NEWS – The price of fuel has been an issue, as prices keep rising, to the point Costa Rica now has the highest gasoline prices in the region.

Gasolina-fullThus, the drop in prices recently approved by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (ARESEP), will be be some releif.

In the coming days, the price of a litre of gasoline will drop ¢36 colones, from ¢810 to ¢774; regular ¢30 colones, from ¢782 to ¢752; and diesel ¢1 colon, from the current ¢667.

The new prices are waiting to be published in the official government newsletter, La Gaceta, to take effect.

The publication is expected before the end of the week.
