QCOSTARICA – The mother of the man who has been called a ‘viejo verde’ (sexual pervert), caught while videoing up a woman’s skirt in downtown San Jose this past Monday, says “the devil tempted her son.”

That is the statement by Doña Alicia Delgado, speaking by phone to Telenoticias (channel 7 news).

The woman said she is very hurt by the bad image created of her son, who is “hard-working and responsible”, said the short report made during the Telenoticias noon television news broadcast. Click here to see the video.

Cruz continues in hospital, in delicate condition, fighting for his life. Authorities are still not clear on the motive behind the attack, but are ruling our robbery, nor have they been able to link the attack to an act of vengeance for his making public the act that has raised the conscience of the nation.
