QCOSTARICA TRAVEL – From a Costa Rican jungle to a South Pacific paradise, you can rent your own private island on Airbnb and live the celebrity lifestyle, far flung from the rest of civilization.

Imagine that. And all at a vastly different budget to celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Leonardo Di Caprio and Shakira, who own their islands. That fantasy can still be a reality – for a few days at least.

Among the roundup of islands to rent is the Tropical Island Cove, in Golfo Dulce (between Golfito and Zancudo), Costa Rica.

Nature lovers can opt for this tropical island of 25 acres of rain forest, warm ocean with its own beach, three types of monkeys, a variety of animals and birds, paths that go through the jungle and even an open air Rancho for sleeping under the stars in the jungle.

Looking for a different kind of vacation, an all-inclusive adult lifestyle vacation in Costa Rica? Check out the Copacabana Desire Hotel in Playa Jaco.

Guests have absolute privacy at Tropical Island Cove unless they require a guide, assistance, or a boat ride. And one of the highlights of this property is the use of the island’s pizza oven, for tasty treats as the sun goes down.

Though you arenting the entire island, the house rules is no smoking (we suppose inside the house). The owne describes it “A step up from camping in the rain forest on a private beach, beautiful open accommodation, animals, viewing platforms & pizza oven.

Accessible is by boat only, with the host, Christine, arranging for transportation from Golfito. The host recommends your do your grocery shopping before your boat trip to the island.

“Guests have absolute privacy unless they require a guide, assistance, or a boat ride. Each stay is personally designed,” says the listing description.

According to the Airbnb listing, the cost is US$308 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights. The total for three nights (minimum) plus cleaning fee (US$60) and service fee (US$95) is US$1,080, for accommodations up to four people.

Getting there is no big deal: fly into the San Jose (SJO) or Liberia (LIR) airport and then a less than an hour flight (from San Jose) to Golfito.
