Costa Rica continues to be an attraction for international companies, the latest being electronics giant Toshiba.

10440808_868714749824712_2170564546726730549_nPresident Luis Guillermo Solís was on hand to inaugurate the opening fo Toshiba modern “bisnes” (business) installation in El Cedral office complex in Escazú.

The Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) will be a marketing centre for the company’s laptops, tablets, hard drivers and other computer accessories, serving Central America and Miami.

“We will be analyzing results to evaluate the long-term possibility of bringing new Toshiba division to the country”,  Juan Antonio Corrales, Toshiba area manager for Central America, told El Financiero.

The Costa Rica TAIS office is the sixth in Latin America to boost the company’s technology to wholesales and distribution channels. The other offices are located in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
