U.S. Embassy San José’s Participation in Diversity March (Photos)

COSTA RICA LIFE NEWS – For the second consecutive year, the U.S. Embassy San José participated in the March of Diversity, as a way of expressing commitment to equality and human rights, justice and the elimination of prejudice wherever it exists.

The U.S. government works inside and outside its borders to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community (LGBT, for its acronym in English), in order to ensure that everyone can exercise their human rights regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

On their Facebook page, the U.S. Embassy San José says “On this beautiful Sunday morning we also met our friends at Intel, Procter & Gamble, Dutch Embassy, Front for Equal Rights and many public and private organizations expressed their commitment to equality and human rights.”

Gonzalo R. Gallegos, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. the U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica closed the activity in a speech where he invited all organizations in Costa Rica to continue its work for human rights.
