TODAY PANAMA | While in Costa Rica taxi driver unions are blocking traffic and committing attacks that the government does nothing to repress, in Panama the insurance company Generali is protecting passengers of UBER from problems on their trips caused by mechanical problems.
The private transport company based on the concepts of a collaborative economy has signed a contract with the Generali insurance company so that customers can receive reimbursements for relocation assistance when cars are left stranded due to mechanical faults.
From information published in Generali.com.pa:
Generali, a Panamanian insurance company, has signed an alliance with the company UBER, an international company that provides customers with a transport network through its mobile software application (“app”).
Thanks to this agreement, customers of Generali will be reimbursed for relocation assistance in UBER, in the event that their car is damaged by a collision or suffers a mechanical failure.
The signing ceremony took place between Fatima Valles, VPA of Non-Life Market at Generali and Juan Pablo Restrepo, General Manager for UBER in Panama.
With this partnership, Generali Panama reaffirms its commitment to be an innovative company that provides its customers with practical solutions according to their needs.
