COSTA RICA NEWS – OK, the photo is exaggerating a bit, but, it will be cold for the next couple of days.
The Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) – local weather service – says the overcast sky and cold temperatures that we saw Monday will continue for a couple of days, and are not necessarily tied to the “transition”, rather part of a “intertropical convergence“.
The IMN advises for people living near rivers and creeks to be ware of possible flash floods, particularly in the Pacific coast. Also, rain and lightning are a strong possibility, warning drivers of reduced visibility and slick road surfaces.
