QCOSTARICA – Since the earliest days of Instagram, people have been meeting up to take photos and videos together. As Instagram has grown, so too has the occurrence of InstaMeets.

What’s an Instameet? An InstaMeet is a group of Instagrammers meeting up to take photos and videos together. That’s it! An InstaMeet can happen anywhere and be any size. They’re a great opportunity to share tips and tricks with other community members in your area, and an excuse to get out and explore someplace new!

This year will be the 13th edition of InstaMeet worldwide, where tens of thousands of people in every corner of the world this weekend (April 22 – 24) explore, share photographic tips and tricks and takes photos and videos together.

In Costa Rica, InstaMeet happens on Saturday, April 23, at 10:30am,  in front of the Teatro Nacional (National Theatre) in downtown San Jose.

The tour takes in places like the Colegio de Señoritas (School for Young Ladies), the Plaza de las Artes (Iglesia de la Soledad), the Plaza de la Democracia, the Morazán and España parks and Jade Museum, among others.

The activity ends at 2 p. m. at the Rostipollos in the restaurant, opposite the cinema Variedades, half block north of the Teatro Nacional.

The cost is free.
