The triumph of Brenda Castro in the Miss Costa Rica 2015 and her subsequent participation in the Miss Universe of that year did not consume the fuse that the Guapileña (Guapiels, Limon) lit in 2008, when she debuted in beauty pageants.
Although traditionally once the girls reach the crowing of the national pageant they move on to other things, that is not the case of Castro.
Four years after her reign as Miss Costa Rica, Brenda accepted that the desire to return to participate in a beauty contest was not done, giving rise to, in mid-March, administrators in the country of the Miss Grand International franchise to choose her as the flag bearer in that international competition.
The Miss Grand International was born in Thailand in 2013. According to their website, the contest judges the integral beauty of the participants, such as physical qualities, elegance, personality, bearing, pose, communication and confidence exhibited by each of the candidates during the international competition, which this year brought together 59 girls from different countries or autonomous territories.
In addition, the contest stands out for promoting peace among all countries of the world and within each nation, hence for this edition the international organization chose Venezuela as the venue for the event, whose final is scheduled for Friday, October 25, at 5pm Costa Rica time.
And Castro is at the center of all the action in the Venezuelan capital, since her arrival in Caracas, she began to stand out among the rest of the competitors, not only for her beauty, but for her great charisma and elegance that dazzled the different activities, and her “pura vida”.
