QCOSTARICA – The good acceptance of its three restaurants in Costa Rica is the motivation behind Chili’s expansion in the country.
CRB restaurants (owner of the Chili’s franchise in Costa Rica) announced it will invest US$2.4 million dollars in opening two new restaurants, one each in Alajuela and Heredia.
Andres Gomez, CRB general manager, said the one of the new locations will be open this year, the other in 2016.
Gomez added during the last year the chain has experienced a 42% growth in revenues and an 8% in visits at its three restaurants located in Multiplaza Escazu, Curridabat and Lincoln Plaza.
Also, the franchise launched on Monday eight new ‘Fresh Mex’ dishes, which according to Gomez required an investment of US$150.000 in equipment, that included new grills and special equipment to enable a healthier food preparation process.
“This is a conversion for all three restaurants, that involved the purchase of new equipment to work with Chili’s Texas Style menu reinforcing fresh produce,” said Gomez.
