QCOSTARICA – In New York, taking part in the U.N. summit on Sustainable Development, Costa Rica President Luis Guillermo Solis met with the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam  to discuss bilateral relations between the countries.

The meeting, taking place at the United Nations headquarters building in New York, also allowed the two leaders to exchanged views on current issues, as well as regional and international matters of mutual concern.

Last month, Brunei’s Foreign minister, Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, was in Costa Rica to attend the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC), where he briefly met with Solis and Costa Rica’s foreign minister Manuel Antonio González.
