(QCOSTARICA) Costa Rica continues with the highest fuel prices in Central America. In a report by Centralamericandata.com, converting prices to per U.S. gallon, Panama has the lowest at US$3.22, while in Costa Rica US$4.50 (not taking into account the latest increase occurring last week).

Variations in higher international refined products have influenced prices in Central America.

Countries  – Diesel – Regular – Super
El Salvador: $2.81 – $3.34 – $3.82
Guatemala: $2.64 – $3.26 – $3.45
Honduras: $3.25 – $3.87 – $4.27
Nicaragua: $3.23 – $4.00 – $4.43
Panamá: $2.58 – $3.22 – $3.63 (data taken from Latinol.com)
Costa Rica (adjusted to reflect the lates price increase):  $3.60 – $4.55 – $4.82.
