At the stroke of midnight tonight, gasoline stations across the country (all gasoline is sold at the same price at every fuelling station in the country) will be reducing the price for a litre of super gasoline to ¢635  from today’s ¢679, regular to ¢603 from today’s ¢642 and diesel to ¢451 from today’s ¢479.

The price of natural gas also drops. For the latest fuel prices visit the Recope website. Check again tomorrow for the changed prices.

The price reduction was approved last week by the Autoridad Reguladora de Servicios Publicos (ARESEP), one day after approving a gas hike of a few colones that took effect last Friday.
