Without a question, international franchises have flourished in Costa Rica. McDonalds, Buger King, KFCm Wendys, Pizza Hut…to the latest arrivals Popeyes and Dairy Queen, Ticos crave it all.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen more than a 50% increase in franchising projects, so, it is only natural for the country to host its first franchise summit.
Sponsored by the Cámara de Comercio de Costa Rica (Costa Rica’s Chamber of Commerce), on May 14, the “I Cumbre Centroamericana de Franquicias” will take place at the Radisson hotel in San José.
“As part of our work, we have gathered the most recognized professionals in the field”, said Karol Fallas, executive director of the Centro Nacional de Franquicias.
The summit will include the participation of Donald Boroian, CEO and founder of Francorp in the U.S.
According to the Camara de Comercio, franchising is directly responsible for almost 30.000 direct jobs in the country.
