(QCOSTARICA) Currently, the average salary of a professional allows filling 33 forty litre tanks of gasoline, while in 2010 it only filled 25.

Thus, the cost of a litre of gasoline is lower today than five years ago, despite the recent increases, and considering the accumulated inflation.

Today, the price of a litre of super gasoline is ¢672, while in October 2010 it was ¢694, the lowest between 2010 and 2014.

Even taking into account the dollar exchange  of ¢518 to one US dollar in October 2010, the per (US) gallon cost today is US$4.80, compared to US$5.18 in October 2010.
