The Venezuelan president claimed a group of fugitives is undermining the Venezuelan economy by hosting a website called “Dólar Today” (Reuters)

TODAY VENEZUELA – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said on Thursday that he would ask his US counterpart Barack Obama to hand over some fugitives of the Venezuelan justice who are allegedly heading a “conspiracy hub” against the Venezuelan economy.

Maduro asserted that in the upcoming Summit of the Americas in Panama, he would also demand President Barack Obama to repeal the executive order imposing sanctions on seven Venezuelan officials fingered for human right abuses and declaring Venezuela’s situation a threat to US security, DPA reported.

The Venezuelan president added that such fugitives are undermining the Venezuelan economy by hosting a website called “Dólar Today,” which posts the price of US dollars in the parallel market in Venezuela, at prices way above the official foreign exchange rates.

“I hope the United States government captures those fugitives and hands them over to me sooner than later,” Maduro highlighted.
