A lone driver lost control this early Friday morning, minutes before 9:00 am, in Rohrmoser, in front of the Garden Inn Hilton hotel, west of the Estadio Nacional.

Apparently, the driver could not negotiate the curve at the section of the road, lost control, hit several buildings, ending up in a dental office parking lot, littering car parts, the vehicle a total write off.

Miraculously – just look at the photos –  the driver survived the crash, got out of the vehicle by his own means, refused medical attention of the Cruz Roja parademics and left a scene, picked up by a friend. Again, just look at the photos.

The crash occurred across the street from another earlier in the week, when a car lost control and slammed into a concrete post. When the Policia de Transito (traffic police) arrived at the scene, they found, literally, only the rear axle of the vehicle and the license plate attached to a piece of the rear bumper. The rest of the vehicle was towed before police arrived and driver and occupants (according to witnesses) had fled the scene.
