(TODAY NICARAGUA) President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, received in his office the Argentine world soccer star Diego Armando Maradona, who is visiting this Central American country since the weekend.
The meeting took place late on Monday, according to official media.

Maradona had previously done a tour of Managua, and published images in his official account on Facebook, standing outside the historic National Palace.

The last visit of the Hero of the World Championships Mexico-86 to Nicaragua was in December 2014, when he also was received by Ortega, who presented him the progress in the Interoceanic Grand Canal project.
