Paseo Colón will be closed for most of the day today (Sunday) as the Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN) and it’s candidate Johnny Araya, take to the streets campaigning for votes, in the last weekend before Costa Ricans go to the polls.
The Policia de Tránsito says it will keep all vehicular traffic off the main artery into San José until 5pm today, and closing off access to all nine blocks along the way.
The PLN says it expects between 20.000 and 25.000 people to join the event today, a final push into the last days of the election that will take place next Sunday, February 2.
