With a radiant sun and the joy of its people, Limón on Saturday warmly welcomed 5,757 passengers and 2,650 crew of the Island Princess and Norwegian Joy, the seventh and eighth cruiseliner of the 2018-2019 season to make port in Costa Rica.
Coming from Colon, Panama, Norwegian Joy also made history in Puerto Limón, being the largest cruise ship that has arrived at the Hernán Garrón Terminal.
The community, the staff of the Junta de Administración Portuaria y de Desarrollo de la Vertiente Atlántica (JAPDEVA), 85 Limonense artisans, and more than 200 transport vehicles received this nautical giant warmly and to the sound calypso .
Many of the passengers will tour the province for 12 hours, discovering its natural beauties, enjoying local food and contributing to the economic revival of Limón. The best selling tour today is the one that goes to the Tortuguero canals.
