When traveling to the UK from Central or South America, it’s like stepping off the plane into another dimension. Even with the Internet and Satellite television, the way of life is literally worlds apart.

If this is your first holiday to the UK from Costa Rica, here are some much-needed tips for Ticos and why it is suggested that you book a serviced apartment if you intend to stay more than just a few days.

In fact, who would travel all that distance without spending at least a week or two abroad? It doesn’t make sense! So then, on to those tips on booking serviced apartments.

Why Serviced Apartments Are Ideal

Perhaps you’ve heard of self-catering cottages and are interested in a budget-friendly place to bring the family. Those are nice, but serviced apartments have several real advantages.

The primary benefit would be that ever-present concierge who can give you the lay of the land. If you’ve never been to Belfast, for example, Northern Ireland can be a bit confusing, especially if you’ve hired a car! Don’t forget they drive on the other side of the road, but even that isn’t as tricky as getting about.

With a concierge on site who can give directions and offer suggestions as to restaurants and places of interest, you are never left on your own trying to figure out where to go and how to get there.

Cost-Effective Accommodations for Small Groups

If you check out a site like https://dreamapartments.co.uk/, you will see that there are typically one and two bedroom apartments to choose between. When bringing the family or a small group of friends, this would make a much better option than booking rooms in a hotel.

You’ll get many of the same amenities such as internet, cable television, housekeeping, and that much-needed concierge, but at rates that make sense for small groups. You’ll have a fully stocked kitchen so that you can take some of your meals at ‘home’ whilst eating out at restaurants suggested by or partnering with the serviced apartments of your choice.

Perfect for Extended Stays

As mentioned above, who would want to travel all the way from Costa Rica to the United Kingdom for just a weekend? Even a week doesn’t give you enough time to get around to do or see much of anything at all.

A serviced apartment because of its affordability can enable you to take that extra time you would perhaps otherwise be unable to afford. Serviced apartments are perfect because they also offer housekeeping, meaning you have more time to spend out and about. Who wants to stay behind tidying up when you could be out seeing the sights and having a pint or two of authentic British ale?

Whether traveling alone or with a small group of family, friends or co-workers, it just makes good financial sense to book a serviced apartment! They’re cost-effective and offer the same amenities as a posh hotel but with the added advantage of staying together as a group. What a great way to see the UK for the very first time. Ticos, enjoy!
