The Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) on Monday offered an apology to Normal del Valle, the senior who was forcibly removed from the Museo Regional de San Ramón (Alajuela), by supporters of the Cuban regime who organized an activity at the museum.

The letter by the UCR, that manages the museum began with, “In the most sincere way, and with all due respect, I would like to offer our apologies for the unfortunate event.”

In addition to the apology, the letter signed by UCR director Francisco Rodríguez, university authorities will meet this Tuesday with the senior.

This Sunday, a video was released in which it showed how the senior was expelled from the museum by a group of supporters of the Cuban regime, who held a meeting to talk about the Cuban reality and “its contribution to world peace.”
