If you on the Pacific coast, across the ocean is the Phillipines. If on the Caribbean side, across the Caribbean Sea is Colombia, past that, across the pond (the Atlantic ocean) is Guinea-Bissau, Africa.

Of course the map works for all of the Americas (North and South).
