QCOSTARICA — After several weeks of suspense, the Miss Universe organization finally announced which country has been chosen to host the 74th edition of the beauty pageant.
What happened to Costa Rica?
At least for this occasion, it was close, but it was not chosen.
Through a video on its social networks, the Miss Universe organization, on Friday, February 7, confirmed that the 2025 host will be Thailand.
“THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR… Revealing the final destination for the 74th Miss Universe competition… Where kindness meets tradition and warm smiles welcome,” the pageant wrote.
At the moment, we are waiting for confirmation of the exact place, date, and time when Danish model and beauty pageant titleholder, Victoria Kjær Theilvig, will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Among the candidate countries to host the prestigious beauty pageant in 2025 were:
- Costa Rica
- Dominican Republic
- Spain
- South Africa
- Nigeria
- Philippines, and
- Thailand.
