Government Appoints Two Academics As Ambassadors in Panama and Italy

QCOSTARICA – Cristina Eguizábal and Juana María Guzmán, both academics in political science, will be as of October 1 take the reins of Costa Rica’s embassies in Italy and Panama, respectively.

The announcement was made Wednesday by the Minister of Communications, Mauricio Herrera.

“No doubt they will represent Costa Rica and the interests of the country very well in both nations,” said Herrera.

Other changes in government officials was the appointment of Luis Pablo Zuniga as delegate of the Ministry of Public Education (MEP) to the board of the National Institute of Women (INAMU).
