TODAY NICARAGUA – Of the five immigration formalities to be completed passengers to entering or exiting the country through the Managua International Airport, two have been eliminated.

Constant complaints by private enterprise and airport users has led Nicaraguan authorities to reduce their immigration procedures. With this new measure the immigration cards for Revenues and Expenditures will no longer be used, and only the forms for migration, health and customs will need to be filled out.

The president of the Superior Council of Private Enterprise, José Adán Aguerri told Elnuevodiario.com.ni that “… There will be a reduction from five to three forms, a good decision for the country’s image … ” Because we have to “… Establish a commitment from the authorities involved in the airport, not to continue to affect the country. ”

In addition the businessman said unofficially that “… The decision was taken that families will be dealt with as a single unit at migration offices. ” It is expected that confirmation of this will come in the coming days.
