QCOSTARICA — The Ministry of Public Education (MEP) announced the closing of all public schools in the country for this Monday, November 11, and Tuesday, November 12.
The decision, announced Sunday night, was made due to the heavy rains and saturation of the soil that affect a good part of the national territory.
“This decision is made in the context of adverse weather conditions and thus prevent situations that may affect the safety of students and educational personnel,” said the MEP through official social media.
Authorities recommended that students and parents stay informed on the official channels of the MEP about any update of the announced measures.
In addition, the ministry recommended that private educational centers take into consideration these preventive measures.
