QCOSTARICA – It was at 6:08am this morning when an earthquake registering 5.2 on the Richter scale rocked Guanacaste.
The Observatorio Vulcanológico Y Sismológico de Costa Rica (Ovsicori) reported the quake’s epicentre 50.2 kilometres Southwest of Samara, in Nicoya, at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The exact location of the tremor is: latitude 9.56 north and longitude 85.85 west.
The quake was also felt in Puntarenas and various points in the Central Valley: San Jose, Sabanilla, Alajuela and San Pedro.
