Several quakes shook Costa Rica on Sunday, the latest felt was at 7:01 pm, a 5.2 magnitude with the epicenter was located 11 kilometers north of Parrita, according to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (Ovsicori).

Its depth was 35 kilometers.

The quake was caused by the subduction of plates.

There was no falling of objects or damage to buildings or injuries reported.

Earlier in the day, at 1:24 pm, a 6.4 magnitude shook the South Pacific area, whose epicenter was located 8 kilometers southeast of Ciudad Neily, in Corredores, Puntarenas.

That tremor was felt in most area of the country, including the Central Valley and Guanacaste.

In total, the Ovsicori registered 11 quakes on Sunday.
