QNOTICIAS — The total accumulated spending of the Government of Rodrigo Chaves in May grew by ¢290.3 billion colones compared to the same period of the previous year, thus reaching ¢3.7 trillion colones.
This is equivalent to 7.6% of the country’s Gross Domestic Pproduct (GDP), a figure that increased by 0.3 points between both periods, according to the most recent fiscal figures report. Increases in salaries, transfers and interest payments were the main causes of the increase in accumulated government spending.
