COSTA RICA SPORTS NEWS – Are the Italians worried? Maybe. And perhaps they should be.

Ahead of Friday’s game with Costa Rica, the Italian press is say the Ticos are a “higher than expected” obstacle. The concerns and comments come after Saturday’s unexpected Costa Rica’s win over Uruguay.

“It will be an unusual encounter. The ‘Azzurri’ have the merit of beating English, but Jorge Luis Pinto’s men are a real surprise from the first day”, said La Stampa.

Although the Ticos may not be any match on the field for the Europeans, it is interesting that Costa Rica – the concerns about Costa Rica – is receiving attention in the press.

The Corriere de la Sera says “We are optimistic about Costa Rica“.

Costa Rica and Italy share fist place in their division, Group D.
