QCOSTARICA – Take note that the Juan Pablo II bridge, in the Alajuela – San Jose direction – will be closed to vehicular traffic this weekend.
The closure will be from 10:00PM Friday night to 5:00AM Monday morning.
Although some congestion is to occur, traffic may deviate to the right lane that leads to the rotonda, and back onto the autopista General Cañas past the bridge.

“The works are a continuation of preventive maintenance of the structure,” said Cristian Vargas, general manager of the Conavi.
