Since Monday (August 20, 2019) Masxmenos in Santa Ana enabled a new service, consumers ordering by phone and then picking up at the store from your car.
Though “Pickup” – as the new service is called – is offered only at the Santa Ana store, the company plans to gradually add the service to more stores.
According to a press release, the services aligns the company with the global retail evolution.
To use the service, customers call the store to place their order with a person who will fill the order, take care of the payment and schedule a pick up time.
Customers are asked to send a Whatsapp message five minutes prior to arrival, to avoid congestion at the pickup spot, which is clearly marked in orange, in front of the main doors to the supermarket.
Mariela Pacheco, Assistante Manager of Corporate Affairs at Walmart, explained that with this new service Masxmenos wants to “improve the quality of life of their customers and increase the range of possibilities for a better shopping experience”.
“We noticed that our clients’ agenda is getting tighter and they need to save time … This last modality helps them to better use of their time better,” said Pacheco.
The Walmart executive said the pick up time is about 3 minutes.

Maxmenos enabled, this August 20, the possibility for consumers to place their orders by telephone and then pick them up from their car in one of the stores.
Initially Pickup – as the new service is called – is available in the Santa Ana supermarket, but the company’s plan is to gradually add more establishments of the brand.

The purchase process with Pickup begins when the person calls 2582-8888 and places their order, which will be received by a person who will be in charge of preparing the order. With the payment requirements and agreed delivery time, the person can pick up the products.

The company explained that customers should send a text message (via WhatsApp) five minutes before picking up their order to avoid congestion in the establishment.
“We identify that our clients’ agenda is getting tighter and they need to save time … This last modality helps them to invest their time better, because just by parking in the assigned area you can pick up and pay for your orders in a time not exceeding three minutes, ”said Pacheco.
How does Pickup work?
1. The customer calls the store 2582-8888 to place the order one hour in advance.
2. A customer service associate will take the order and must indicate whether the payment will be made by plastic (credit or debit card) or cash.
3. The customer service associate will confirm the order.
4. Before arriving customer must notify the supermarket five minutes prior to arrival by senting a WhatsApp text to 7054-6364 and the order ID. Once at the supermarket you have to park in the “Pickup” area parking lot.
5. Minutes after notifying the arrival, you will receive your order in the vehicle.
