Mister Universe Model Looking For Ideal Tico Tonight

COSTA RICA EXTRA – Men Universe Model originally called “Mister Universe Model” has hit the shores of Costa Rica, and tonight has the task of of choosing its ideal “Tico”, looking for a man that is not only physically attractive and is 1.8m tall (5′ 9), but have professional studies and speak at least two languages.

Tonight, 9 young men of the 40 who participated in the August casting session, will compete for the title.

The gala event is being at held at Real Intercontinental Hotel, in Escazú, starting at 6:00pm tonight (Sunday November 30, 2014).  Entrance: ¢10.000 colones.

The contestants are: Raúl Martínez, Emanuel González Castro, Christian Andrés Alvarado Campos, Henry Alvarado Jiménez, Mauro Solera Quirós, Henry Monge Porras, Josue Loaiza Vargas, Steven González Vargas and Kelvin Maxwell Smith.

The winner will represent Costa Rica at the June 10, 2015 international competition in the Dominican Republic.

“The goals is the winner to travel to the international competition next year and also participate in the Fashion Week in New York, Miami and the Dominican Republic.,” said Gerson Jiménez Santamaría, director and owner of the Mister Universe Model franchise in Costa Rica.

Like the women’s beauty pageants, the contestants will be making a catwalk in swimwear and formal evening wear.

The jury will consist of Johana Solano (Miss Costa Rica 2011), Robert Lee (editor Viva La Nación), Fabricio Berrocal (national designer), Gabriel Garro (model and entrepreneur) and Carolina Rodríguez (Miss Costa Rica 2014 finalist).

Men Universe Model is the fourth largest pageant for men in the world after the Manhunt International, Mister International and Mister World.
