Pair Try To Pass Off Photocopied Bills

1621666_587270921367331_106867862_nUsing a photocopier as a source of their new found wealth, two men decided to on a shopping spree thinking they could fool merchants with their phoney US$20 dollar bills and ¢10.000 colones notes.

Police were alerted by a merchant in Guayabo de Bagaces, Guanacaste, Sunday morning when they tried to purchase a ¢1.000 colones minutes card for their cell phone with one of the phone notes.

Detained were two men identified by their last names Fuentes Vásquez, 24,  and Torres Jiménez, 26.
