Q COSTA RICA – It looks like Tropical Waves 8 and 9 might be causing some trouble in the country later this week, according to the national weather service, the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN).

Tropical Waves 6 and 7 last week caused heavy downpours in a large part of the country, mainly in the North Pacific and the Central Valley.
The IMN forecasts that Tropical Waves 8 and 9 will affect the country in the next few days, and will generate an increase in rainfall.
The official IMN weather forecast for this Monday, June 11:
Typical conditions of the rainy season in the Pacific will again give way to the presence of downpours, although scattered and accompanied by electrical storms, locally they can be of strong intensity. The affected regions from the early hours of the afternoon are the Central Valley towards the center and west and the Pacific slope.
The Caribbean will present showers in the mountains. The morning instability can be present again from hours of the morning in coastal sectors of the Central and South Pacific.
