COSTA RICA PHOTOS – The commuter train is now an option for many in the San José and surrounding areas. Operated by the state railway, INCOFER, the train now connects San José with Heredia, Pavas, San Pedro and Cartago.

Unfortunately, the train runs only mornings and afternoons on weekdays (excluding holidays), and the Cartago – San Pedro – San José – Pavas – Belén (Heredia) line does not connect with the San José – Heredia (and in the coming year or so Alajuela) line.
